The deadline to register as a voter for the Mississippi statewide primary on Aug. 8 is rapidly approaching. Those who have not registered have until Monday to complete their registration.

To register to vote, you can do so at your county circuit clerk’s office or municipal clerk’s office by Monday, July 10. This must be done in person. Applications can also be picked up at these offices to register by mail. Applications must be postmarked no later than July 10.

Absentee ballots can also be picked up from the county circuit clerk’s office. During the absentee voting process, your registration will be verified by your county circuit clerk using the Statewide Elections Management System. They will also conduct a thorough address verification and request your photo ID for further confirmation. As part of the process, you will be required to provide a reason for voting absentee.

Saturday in-person voting options will be available on July 29 and Aug. 5 from 8 a.m. to noon at their circuit clerk’s office.
