Debbie Blossom Promoted
Debbie Blossom was promoted to the Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Visitor Services Manager position June 1, 2019. Blossom has been with the VCVB since 2014.
“Debbie’s knowledge and passion for Vicksburg made her a perfect candidate for the Visitor Services Manager position,” said Laura Beth Strickland, VCVB executive director. “We are excited to see her lead our front-line team.”
Previously serving as the Assistant Visitor Services Manager, Blossom is familiar with the duties of her new position. She is responsible for leading the visitor service team in providing a priceless first impression to our visitors to Vicksburg. She also fulfills inquiries, provides visitation reports and manages all visitor center locations.
In addition to the Vicksburg Visitors Information Center on Old Highway 27, the VCVB has information centers located inside the Vicksburg National Military Park and the Jesse Brent Lower Mississippi River Museum.
Blossom describes her motto: “Invite every visitor with a smile and a laugh. Never allow a visitor to leave the Visitor’s Center with any doubt on directions to where they are headed.”
Blossom has over 30 years of substantial work in retail, casino and restaurant venues with a strong background in human resources and administration. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Jackson State University and is a Leadership Vicksburg graduate. She is also an evangelist at Trinity Temple Baptist Church.
