“Overall I improved on my vision and just the way I view the field because that’s going to show me where I need to go,and I let my feet handle the rest,” Knight added.

As a sensational sophomore last year, Knight was a key figure in the Gators’ ability to advance to the third round of the playoffs for the first time in over 20 years, along with winning a district title for the first time in over 30 years. He has now put last season behind him and is ready to help VHS to more success in 2023.

“We just want to compete and play to the best of our ability and compete for a state title,” Knight said.

The Gators will begin their season on Aug. 25 when they host Holmes County Central.
