Dedication ceremony for Vicksburg welcome signs scheduled

The dedication ceremony for Vicksburg’s interstate welcome signs has been set for June 2.

“Welcome to Vicksburg” sign dedication ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m.

Speakers will include Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs Jr., Mississippi Department of Transportation Central District Commissioner Willie Simmons and former Central District Commissioner Dick Hall.

Parking will be at the Hampton Inn at 3330 Clay Street. Please do not park elsewhere. Shuttles will run at 10:15 a.m. to the dedication site.
