Demarcus Johnson becoming a powerful defensive lineman for the Gators
VICKSBURG, Miss. (Vicksburg Daily News)–After having to step up as a freshman in the 2020 football season, Vicksburg High School football player Demarcus Johnson has made a name for himself.
Johnson earned himself a starting spot on the Gators defensive line under head coach Todd Mcdaniel where he 39 tackles, three sacks, and two forced fumbles that year. He also helped VHS clinch a playoff berth with the help of his aggressive playing.
With a year of varsity experience under his belt, Johnson is expected to be dominant player for the Gators this season, with the help of an experienced defense.
Johnson continues to go through summer workouts while the team prepares to take on Germantown on August 27, 2021.
