Deputy involved collision at Halls Ferry and Pemberton

Just before 9 a.m., a two-vehicle collision involving a Sheriff’s Deputy occurred at Halls Ferry and Pemberton Boulevard.
Both the driver of the passenger vehicle and the deputy were transported to an area hospital to be treated. None of their injuries are believed to be serious. It is standard protocol for any deputy-involved accident for the deputy to be checked out at the hospital.
Two fire medics and Engine 8 responded to the call along with VPD’s Anthony Lane and two Sheriff’s Deputies. Sheriff Pace and Bobby Stewart were also observed at the scene.
This is the second deputy-involved accident in the past 3 months. On March 6, a deputy was involved in a head-on collision on Fisher Ferry Road.
