Derailed train causing partial closure of Baldwin Ferry Road on Monday
Kansas City Southern Railroad officials are dealing with a minor train derailment near Baldwin Ferry Road.
The train is still upright, but a mudslide pushed it off the tracks.
There are two engines and five cars involved.
Brandon, Miss., based ZA Construction is in charge of getting the train back on the tracks. A spokesman for ZA estimates it may be midnight before the situation is rectified.
Vicksburg Police have closed Baldwin Ferry between Mission 66 and East View Apartments.
