VICKSBURG, Miss. (Vicksburg Daily News) – Details by Daffron is an auto detailing business run by Vicksburg local, Joshua Daffron. This morning he posted a story and we want to share it with you. Here it is, slightly edited:

Not for the reasons you might think.

Sure, this is a NICE car! It’s a Pontiac Solstice with all the bells and whistles.. but that’s not why it’s a “good one”. For those of you who follow my page, and are not from Vicksburg you might not understand this quite as much, but you should definitely stay for the read.

This is George Debbie Carr’s vehicle. As many of you know, George Carr passed away recently and that news hit Vicksburg hard. I worked for George for a while before detailing on my own. We bonded over vehicles, auto detail products, and even lunch options during the day. He was not only my favorite boss but a wonderful mentor to look up to. I knew George was going to have a smile on his face no matter what. He never seemed to have challenges that you knew about when you were talking with him. I could absolutely count on him for anything.

When I went out on my own, he was an advocate for Details by Daffron, and I couldn’t be more proud of that!

Debbie reached out to me wanting her car ceramic coated. This was a gift from George long ago and is very special to her. She talked about how it never gets driven and how he gave it to her for her birthday! I immediately said yes and put my blood, sweat, and tears into this vehicle not only for Debbie but for the Carr family as well. The dealership and the Carr family will always hold a significant place in my heart and I was honored to coat such a special vehicle. I hope this makes you proud, George. We miss you!
