Dispute over county boundaries could have had deadly consequences

Two individuals escaped a would-be fatal accident on Highway 80 on Wednesday night about 3/4 of a mile inside Hinds County.
The call was dispatched to Hinds County but then rejected, believing the response should be addressed by Warren County. Luckily, the parties involved in the crash only suffered minor injuries.
Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace was on the radio directing Warren County emergency units to get to the scene, leaving the dispute over who should respond to be dealt with at a later time.
Hinds County did respond as well and was on scene to transport the injured parties to be treated.
