A group of doctors from the University of Mississippi Medical Center decided to take some time out of their day and come hang out with shelter animals awaiting their homes at Mississippi Animal Rescue League in Jackson.
The group of doctors volunteered for over three hours.
They spent their time playing with the large dogs from the adoption kennels, giving them exercise and love.
They also unfolded newspapers for the small dog and cat cages, which the shelter said is a huge help for their animal care staff. The tedious chore isn’t a favorite among the workers.
Kittens, puppies, large dogs, and cats all enjoyed the visit from the UMMC doctors.
MARL said, “We had a nice surprise this week when a group of doctors from UMMC hospital volunteered some time to come play with our animals…thank you so much UMMC Docs. Please come again any time!!”
