Domestic situation turns into versus pedestrian crash

Vicksburg Police are currently investigating a motor vehicle collision on Warrenton Road in which a domestic altercation occurred.

According to eye-witnesses, the driver of the grey vehicle went off the side of the road to chase the pedestrian up the side of the hill and managed to clip him with the side of the vehicle.

Vicksburg Police have answered numerous domestic calls related to these individuals in the past few days. Police were on their way to a call involving these individuals when a second call came in reporting the vehicular incident.

The female driver has been taken into custody. The victim is being transported to Meritt Health River Region with injuries.

Traffic Investigator Leonce Young is investigating the collision and incident on behalf of the Police Department.
