If this is October, it must be time to donate your old bras for a good cause.

Riverwalk Casino in Vicksburg will be collecting all those bras during October, and, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, donating $1 to the American Cancer Society for each bra it receives.

At the end of the month, it’s time for the 12th annual “Bras Along the Bridge,” as Riverwalk employees and members of the Vicksburg Bridge Commission line the Old Vicksburg Bridge with the donated bras.

On Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 to 11 a.m. it’s the bra viewing walk and check presentation on the bridge.

“It’s something that we’re excited about every year,” Ginny Tzotzolas, Riverwalk’s general manager, told WLBT. “It’s a way to really get the community engaged and involved with the fundraising process in a very creative and fun way.”

Last year’s event raised more than $14,000.
