Donzie Lee Banks Harris: 1947-2025

VICKSBURG, Miss. — Donzie Lee Banks Harris went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 15 in the St. Dominics Hospital following a brief illness. She was 78. She had retired from Wal Mart and was a member of the Locust Grove M. B. Church.  

She was preceded in death by her parents Don and Martha Lee Brown Banks. her husband Willie Harris, Jr., her brothers Ed Brown, Fredrick Banks, Zeke Paul Banks, and Don Banks, Sr and her sisters Margaret Banks Harris.

She is survived by her sons Willie Harris, III of Meridiaville, AL, and Fredrick Dion Harris of Madison, MS  her daughter LaDonna Burks of Vicksburg, her brothers Ray Banks, Sr., Wallace “Boo” Banks, both of Vicksburg and Henry Banks of Murfreesboro, TN, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others 

Funeral services for Donzie Lee Banks Harris are to  be held on Saturday, August 23 in the Greater Grove Street M.B. Church at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Johnnie Williams officiating; interment shall follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22 in the funeral home from 5 till 7 p.m.
