VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN)— Doris Ann Hopkins went home to be the Lord on September 18, 2025 at the age of 53.
Doris was born and raised in Vicksburg, MS. She was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church and a dedicated employee to Campbell Properties. Doris enjoyed her church small groups, gardening, and feeding homeless animals. She was a beloved “Nanny” to her two grandchildren she loved so much. She was a safe spot for many and she truly made you feel loved and happy.
She is survived by her daughter Brittany Hopkins, son Ryan Hopkins, grandchildren; Daniel Waring and Paisley Hopkins, sisters; Melissa Boler (Pace), Diane Bost, Diane Hiegle (JR) brothers; Joey Anderson (Donna), Rusty Anderson (Amber), Terry Anderson (Pat), Marion “Bo” Johnson, Jr. (Linda) along with numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents Marion and Doris Johnson. Siblings; Marion “Dinky” Baxtor, Sherry McDaniel, and Hank Johnson, Brother-in-law, Bill Bost.
Pallbearers will be Pace Boler, Paul Campbell, Charles Chiplin, Jason Hopkins, Rodger Hopkins, Ronnie Hopkins, Chris Brunson, and JB Browning.
Visitation: Trinity Baptist Church on Porters Chapel Rd. September 23, 2025 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Service will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Bill Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
