Double car-jacking hits Vicksburg/Warren County
Two vehicles were car-jacked overnight in Vicksburg and Warren County.
Just before 4:00 a.m. a report of a carjacking at the Circle K on Clay at Old Hwy 27 was reported. The victim claimed his black Toyota 4-Runner with Kansas plates was carjacked by 4 young black males who were in a red Dodge Charger. The victim was not injured.
At 4:14 a.m. numerous calls to 911 reported a motor vehicle collision at the Flower exit off of eastbound I-20. A black 4-Runner (later determined to be the carjacked vehicle) had made contact with the back of a parked 18-wheeler. Initial reports indicated a red Dodge Charger was involved but that is as yet unverified.
One of the people in the 4-Runner was injured and taken to an area hospital with a laceration to their head. They are in police custody at that facility.
At 4:29 a.m. another carjacking was reported at Love’s Truck Stop at Cere’s Plantation. A red GMC Sierra with Texas plates was taken. The two suspects matched the identity of the suspects in the earlier carjacking in Vicksburg. The GMC Sierra was reported to be “full of weapons” according to radio traffic. That GMC Sierra is now believed to be in the Metro Jackson area. The Jackson Police and the Hinds County Sheriff are reportedly actively looking for the vehicle and suspects.
Vicksburg Police responded to the carjacking on Clay, the Highway Patrol is working the accident at the Flowers exit and Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies were observed at the accident scene assisting. Bovina fire and a city Medic unit along with Rescue all responded to the accident scene.

To recap, 4 individuals get out of a red Dodge Charger and carjack a black Toyota 4-Runner at the Circle K on Clay just before 4 a.m. About 15 minutes later the 4-Runner is involved in an MVC with, reportedly, the Charger and an 18-wheeler at the Flowers exit off of I-20 east. 15 minutes after that a report of a carjacking at the Loves Truck Stop is reported. A red GMC Sierra, reportedly “full of guns” was taken by individuals matching the description of the people involved in the accident and the carjacking at Circle K. The red GMC Sierra is believed to be in the Jackson area with the Jackson Police and the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office actively looking for the vehicle.
