Drink up, Mississippi

Mississippians have enjoyed a few cocktails during the recent COVID-19 lockdown.
Since March 16, the Mississippi Alcohol Beverage Control division has shipped 932,120 cases of alcohol, which represents an increase of 140,785 over the same period in 2019, or more than 15%.
ABC says it is shipping at capacity every night and have added the next two Fridays to deal with the backlog of orders, which are taking longer to deliver.
Under Mississippi statute, the state regulates and distributes all alcohol products with the exception of beer and light wines with 5% or less of alcohol by weight.
