Driver’s License stations change schedule for Wednesdays

Published

on

The Mississippi Driver Service Bureau is making a change to how it is delivering services, effective immediately.

Instead of “walk-in Wednesdays,” Wednesdays are now designated for firearm permits, security guard permits, renewals and duplicate transactions for driver’s licenses and identification cards.

Wednesdays will also add special hours for customers 65 years and older. Those folks should come between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Temperature checks will be administered to each customer before entering service locations, and wearing masks is strongly recommended.

The previous schedule for most services remains in place. Services will be available on designated days based on the first letter of customers’ last names.

Monday A thru E
Tuesday F thru L
Wednesday: See above
Thursday M thru S
Friday T thru Z

Customers can also go online at https://www.dps.ms.gov/ for many services including renewals and address changes.
