Eagle Lake Water District customers under advisement to boil their water

As crews work around the area getting systems back online, one thing we should keep in mind is how clean our water is.

When the water systems go down, a boil order is usually attached. When pressure is lost, contaminates can seep into the system. A clean water test is needed by local health officials before it is considered safe to drink. Eagle Lake Water District customers are now under advisement to boil their water as a precautionary measure for this very reason. Eagle Lake’s external power source was lost.

Recent weather events have put many systems under strain and caused damage that will take time to repair.
