Early morning fire on Drake Steet damages home

Just after 4:30 a.m. a fire was reported in the 50 block of Drake Street, in the southern part of the county.

Chief Mitch Lange, Robert Whitten, Michael Baker, Tim Wood and Neal Pryor from Fisher Ferry Fire Department responded, along with Chief Chuck Tate, Lee Williams, Cedric Martin from Culkin Fire Department.

Chief Lange stated the fire was located in the back corner and was contained to the bathroom. The rest of the home sustained smoke damage. Luckily the blaze did not escape past the master bedroom’s bathroom.

No injuries were reported.
