Eastbound lanes of 1-20 Mississippi River Bridge blocked

An accident involving an 18-wheeler is blocking the eastbound lanes of the Interstate 20 bridge over the Mississippi River.

The truck struck one of the barricades and lost a front tire, meaning a wrecker has to be brought in to clear the truck from the lane.

No injuries have been reported.

This accident will take some time to clear. The Vicksburg Daily News will provide updates as we receive them.
