Eddie Ray Price: 1956-2025

VICKSBURG, Miss. — Eddie Ray Price, a Vicksburg resident, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a brief illness. He was 69. He was retired and of the Baptist faith.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 29, in the Chapel of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James Morris Sr. officiating.

Price was preceded in death by his parents, James and Azalene Neal Price; his brothers, Eugene Price, James Lucas Price and Bobby Price; and his sisters, Brenda Price and Mary Lewis.

He is survived by his son, Vincent Price of Raleigh, N.C.; his daughters, Natasha Major of Meridian, Miss., and Angela Price of Braxton, Miss.; his brothers, Charles Price of Vicksburg and Johnny Lee Price of Chicago, Ill.; his sister, Azalene Price of Chicago; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
