Edwards native Devin Carter signs with Alcorn State University

Edwards native Devin Carter has now signed to Alcorn State University to play basketball for the Braves next season.
Carter was a tremendous player for Florence High School this year as he led his team to a stunning 20-1 record. He averaged 30.9 points per game this season under head coach Darrin Chancellor.
Choosing Alcorn was a easy selection for Carter as he felt right at home with the Braves.
“I chose Alcorn because the moment they started recruiting me we bonded from day one,” Carter said. “The coaches made me feel like a top priority and I feel like my playing style fits great in Coach Bussie’s system and its also been a dream of mine since a kid to play college basketball and its just a blessing to be able to do that on the Division 1 level.”
Carter will soon be living his dream of being a a part of the Braves’ program and VDN will continue to spotlight his upcoming success.
