Vicksburg Junior High School basketball player Tyler Carter stepped up to play on the varsity level to help VHS defeat Brookhaven 95-57 Friday night.

Tyler scored 10 points, four rebounds and one block to helps the Gators secure the victory. Recently Carter has been playing on the junior varsity team but because the Gators had a huge lead, they gave Carter a chance to show off his skills.

Just a few weeks ago, Carter was the lead scorer for the eighth-grade team where he helped the junior high to an 18-1 record and an appearance in the Little Six Championship game. In the fall of 2019, Carter was also a part of the junior high football team that won the Little Six Championship.

Carter is known on the basketball court for his height and aggressiveness that helps him easily score points.
