Electrical fire at apartment complex

Just after 10 a.m. Sunday, Vicksburg Fire Department was called to the Commodore Apartments at 605 Cain Ridge Road for a reported structure fire.

Vicksburg Police Officer Anthony Lane (A-32) was first to the scene and reported seeing smoke from the building.

The issue was quickly resolved and was reportedly related to electrical issues with the HVAC unit. Fortunately, there were no injuries and only minor smoke damage to the building as a result of the incident.

Vicksburg Fire Department Engines 2 and 8, Ladder 3, Battalion 1, Rescue and Fire Medic 20 along with multiple Vicksburg Police Officers were dispatched to the scene.
