Eli Manning to announce his retirement
Eli Manning, star quarterback for the New York Giants, is retiring after 16 years in the NFL.
Manning is a two-time Super Bowl winner and a former Ole Miss star who was selected as the first pick in the 2004 draft. Manning is the brother of former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning and the son of Archie Manning, who played for the New Orleans Saints from 1971 to 1982.
Manning has a press conference scheduled for Friday where he is expected to announce his retirement. The Manning family has been around football for many years, and Eli will be the last of the Manning legacy for the time being.
Manning and his wife Abby have three daughters.
