Engine 2 makes quick work of vehicle fire

Right at 6 p.m., a vehicle fire on Lucy Bryson was quickly extinguished by firefighters from Engine 2.

The single vehicle fire was fully involved when firefighters arrived on the scene. The engine compartment was blowing out white hot magnesium sparks and the right front tire blew just as the arrive. David-7, Dane Davenport with the Vicksburg Police Department was the fire responder on the scene and he radioed in the vehicle was 10 feet from a structure and threatening.

Thanks to the quick work of the firefighters on Engine 2, the fire was skillfully brought under control in less than 30 seconds.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and no one was injured as a result of the fire.
