Update: Escaped Copiah County inmate turned himself in

The escapee turned himself in, the Copiah County Courier reports.

The Copiah County sheriff is searching for an inmate who walked away from a work detail at 4:45 a.m.
49-year-old Clarence Williams was discovered missing about 6 a.m. Tuesday from the Copiah County Detention Center.
Williams is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about Williams’ whereabouts is asked to call the Copiah County Sheriff’s Office at 601-892-2023.
