Wilkerson was serving concurrent sentences from Warren County related to incidents that occurred in July 2017. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison with two to serve on charges of injuring a Warren County Sheriff’s K-9 following a brief chase on July 9, 2017. Wilkerson slammed K-9 Soldier to the ground injuring the dog. He was also sentenced to five years in prison with two to serve on a grand larceny charge.

According to Yazoo County Sheriff’s Investigator Terry Gann,Wilkerson was arrested around 8 p.m. Wednesday night by deputies who found him walking along a Yazoo County road. Gann added that Wilkerson was headed south, presumably to Warren County.

Wilkerson could face charges that would add up to an additional five years to his sentence.
