The city pavilion/skatepark at 900 Lee St. will be the place to be on April 8th as Muddy River Madness II takes over for a full day of music and skateboarding, starting at noon. The event is open to all ages, and admission is just $10, making it an affordable day of fun for the whole family.
The music lineup for the day is an impressive collection of local and regional talent. Local bands, Beneath the Kudzu, Chief City and Death Throes From A Star will be joined by other area bands, including Cold/Relent, Mammoth Caravan, Die With Nature, Whether and False Gods.
There will also be a skate competition at 1 p.m., with a $10 entry fee. Skaters of all skill levels are welcome to participate, so whether you’re a seasoned pro or a beginner, you’ll have a chance to show off your skills.
The event will also host a guitar raffle for just $5 a ticket, sponsored by Harrison Appliance Repair.
All that music and skating is bound to work up an appetite, so make sure to check out the food trucks that will be on site throughout the day.
The music starts at 2:30 p.m., so make sure to get there early to catch all the great acts.
