WHO:
Actin’ Up! Entertainment is a full service events and production company, comprised of creative artists that fosters

WHAT:
“MUSIC MATTERS” is a pop-culture, feel good story, that pays homage to the R&B music of the 1990’s.
The story follows (4) aspiring artists, they have to overcome life challenges in order to make it BIG
on a their favorite music reality show STAR FINDER. MUSIC MATTERS, is written and directed by Actin’ Up!
Entertainment’s founder and Creative Executive Officer, Mr. Charlie Tubbs, III.

“We believe in the power of telling creative stories that are modern, relevant and thought provoking. This story is
particularly special to me because it’s loosely based on my life, growing up in a boy band in Vicksburg is ; our goal
has been to write stories that are fun and relatable to the diverse community that is Vicksburg, Mississippi. “MUSIC
MATTERS” was highly successful in California with encore performances and we’re excited to bring this show to my
hometown of Vicksburg! This show is a great modern story and musically it takes you on a journey back to the 90s!
Trust me; It’s a WHOLE VIBE!”

says Charlie Tubbs, III, who is no stranger to the performing arts. He has over 25 years of theatrical production
expertise that has afforded him opportunities to write and direct bodies of work that have been featured at the world
famous, Black Ensemble Theater Company in Chicago, (https://blackensembletheater.org) which is known pro-
ductions related to African-American culture, especially musicals depicting notable African-American musicians and
performers.
