EWN program announces EWN Atlas, Volume 2
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineering With Nature (EWN) program is scheduled to host a virtual book launch on April 7.
The book launch for Engineering With Nature: An Atlas, Volume 2 will take place between 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. CDT, and will include comments from Lt. Gen. Scott A. Spellmon, the 55th chief of engineers and commanding general, the USACE and other prominent leaders from around the globe.
“We are very excited about the new Atlas release,” said Dr. Todd Bridges, national lead for the EWN Program. “The Atlas books are a great way to communicate about EWN, share ideas, stimulate innovation and spark further progress.”
The book showcases EWN principles and practices and provides illustrations and descriptions focused on 62 various projects from around the world. The projects show the partnership with nature to deliver engineering solutions with a wide variety of benefits, including economic, environmental and social ones. It is scheduled to be published sometime this April.
