Expect bands of heavy rain and wind Monday as Cristobal moves through

Cristobal continues its northward trek Monday, bringing heavy rain and strong winds into Central Mississippi.
Warren County could see from 4 to 8 inches of rain throughout the day coming through in bands until the late afternoon, the National Weather Service in Jackson predicts.
As evening approaches, the heaviest rain and winds will begin to ease off; however, rain chances continue through Tuesday and into Wednesday morning.
A wind advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. Monday, and a flash flood watch is in effect until 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Be cautious on the roads, as the rain and winds will likely bring down trees. Several reports of downed trees have already come in this morning, and crews are working to clear them.
Flooding on the roads can also occur. As always, do not attempt to drive through standing water. Turn around. Don’t drown.
Tuesday through Wednesday morning continue to look wet, with a 50% chance of rain both days, with clearing likely Wednesday afternoon.
