Expect travel delays as evacuees and logistical teams move toward Louisiana

As evacuees and logistical teams make their way into the state of Louisiana, delays are to be expected.

U.S. Interstate 10 westbound and U.S. Interstate 59 southbound are seeing high volumes of traffic as people head toward our neighboring state. U.S. Interstate 55 in Pike County will also be experiencing delays over the next few days.

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety is advising motorists to not block the interstate near off-ramps and to expect a high traffic volumes on these roads and to drive cautiously.
