The national weather service in Jackson has announced that our area will sustain high winds this afternoon and evening.

We can anticipate sustained winds of 25 mph with gusts up to 30 to 40 mph.

Weak trees and limbs may break and fall due to the sustained wind speeds. Driving high profile vehicles could also be challenging in heavy winds.

Be weather aware and watch for fallen limbs that may be blown around in the wind gust. Falling limbs and tress may cause power lines to snap.

Be prepared in case you lose power by ensuring your devices are charged and you have a back up plan for an extended power outage.
