As Vicksburg inches closer and closer to Halloween, more and more events are being added to our list. Below are Fall and Halloween-themed events happening around the River City that are sure to “spook” your interests.

Multiple Dates

Mc Raven Candlelight Tours

As you move through the candle-lit rooms of McRaven, get a first-person account of someone that called McRaven home. As featured in National Geographic and LIFE Magazines, The Travel Channel, & many others. Get your tickets now for a Candlelight Tour. Tours are Oct. 21, Oct. 22, Oct. 29 or Oct. 30 from 7 p.m. to midnight.

Rocky Horror Show at The Strand Theatre

Let’s do the Time Warp again!

Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show once again takes the stage at the Strand.

Performances are:

  • Friday, Oct. 21 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 22 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 28 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 29 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • The Rocky Horror Show will have a special Halloween midnight showing on Oct. 31 from 11:59 p.m to 1:59 a.m.

Oct. 22

All Hallows Gala Halloween Ball

From 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22,  join the event for a silent auction and costume contest to help benefit Good Shepherd Community Center featuring Thomas Murray & Hairicane.

A cash bar and spooky treats will also be waiting.

The event will be hosted at 721 Clay Street. Tickets are $40 and are available at eventbrite.

Halloween Scavenger Hunt

A family-friendly digital scavenger hunt will take place between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Washington Street, between Cinnamon Tree and Peterson’s.

Teams between 4-6 members can register for $100 per team. Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place. One team member must have a phone capable of talking and texting photos.

All proceeds benefit the Vicksburg Salvation Army.

Oct. 23

Halloween Spook Day with Lana

The Southern Cultural Heritage Center (SCHC) presents Halloween Spook Day with Lana. Join Lana Hand on Sunday, Oct. 23, from 2-5 p.m. for a fun-filled afternoon at the SCHC! The class will do arts and crafts, have games and music, they will decorate pumpkin cookies, have a Witches Brew Punch, and much more.

This class is open to ages 4-9, and both boys and girls are welcome! The registration fee is $45/child. Reservations must be paid for in advance and are due by Oct. 20.

Black, Poly, & Paranormal Tiktok Tour

Black Poly & Paranormal with 2DOPEsoulz isn’t just another stage show but it is a “metaphysical, romantic, prophetic, comedic, dramatic, overall entertaining experience.” Featuring DJ Shawn Dawg and Special Surprise Guests.

Those in attendance will be part of the Season One Finale of Black, Poly, & Paranormal the Reality Show live taping for Netflix.

The event will take place on Sunday, Oct. 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. at 2321 Washington Street. Tickets range from $20 to $40 and are available now on Eventbrite.

Oct. 24

Warren Central’s Halloween Spooktacular

Kids 12 and under in their costumes get free admission to the co-ed charity game on Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Warren Central softball field. There will be awards for the best costumes and candy given out between innings!

Oct. 25

Trunk or Treat at the Outlets

Make a Promise Drug Free Coalition presents Vicksburg’s annual Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat event.

Oct. 25 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.at the Outlets.

Oct. 27

Trunk or Treat- Gibson Memorial UMC

Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church will be hosting a trunk or treat event with activities and lots of fun on Oct. 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Oct. 28

Well-o-ween Health Fair

Ameristar Casino invites you to its annual fall-themed health fair on Friday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free.

Spirits of Vicksburg

The Vicksburg Convention Center will be hosting Spirits of Vicksburg as highlighted by Morgan Gates.

The event will take place at noon. Tickets are $15 each and include lunch.

Oct. 29

Fallfest

Solid Rock Church is hosting a free public event from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Games, prizes, candy and fun for the whole family.

Solid Rock Church is located at 4945 Highway 651 North.

Ghosthunters! Presented by McRaven House

No Halloween event list in Vicksburg is complete without having a haunted house on it.

Join our local ghosthunters from McRaven House for a special demonstration at the Warren County – Vicksburg Public Library on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 3 to 5 p.m.

Satartia Trunk or Treat and Chili Cookoff

The Village of Satartia is hosting a Trunk or Treat and chili cookoff on Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. Applications are currently being accepted for the cookoff and trunk decorating.

Moose Lodge Trunk or Treat

The Moose Lodge will be hosting a Halloween Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The Moose Lodge is located at 2100 Fisher Ferry Road.

Wayside Baptist Church Fall Festival

Wayside Baptist Church is celebrating fall with fun, fellowship and food.

The celebration is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 29.

Wayside Baptist Church is located at 6151 Jeff Davis Road.

Hallowfest Trailride & Bonfire

McNutt Lake Farms is presenting its inaugural Hallowfest Trailride & Bonfire event on Oct. 29. Gates open at noon, trail ride leaves at 4 p.m. A bonfire is planned for around 8 p.m.

Entry fee is $15. Vendor fee is $75. $5 per ATV and/or 4-wheelers.

Oct. 31

Costume Contest at Sports Force Parks

The inaugural Halloween at Sports Force will be kicking things off with a costume contest for age groups 1-6 and 7-13 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Trunk or Treat

A Trunk or Treat will be held at the Central Fire Station at 1630 Walnut Street from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.

A Trunk or Treat event will be held on Monday, Oct. 31 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Vicksburg Intermediate School parking lot located at 1245 Dana Road.

Bring the boys and ghouls out for some spooky fun!

Drive-thru Trick or Treat

A Drive-thru Trick or Treat event will be held at Fisher Ferry Fire Departments at 302 Goodrum Road and 4423 Lee Road.

The event will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Please follow the “Enter” and “Exit” signs.

Trunk or Treat

Mt. Carmel Ministries Vicksburg will be offering Hallelujah Night, a Trunk or Treat event from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
