Family lost everything to fire needs your help

A devastating fire took out a family home on Walton Lane early Friday morning.

The fire put one family member in the Baton Rouge Burn Center and left the rest of the family without food, clothes or shelter. Their extended family has stepped in to help, but the family is in desperate need of clothes and money. The Dad is with the family while the Mom is at the burn center with her injured child.

A GoFundMe has been set up for the family and 100% of the funds will go to the family. There is also an immediate need for clothing. We’ve provided a list below.

Vicksburg and Warren County always come together in times like these and we are so proud of our community’s endless ability to love and help their neighbor.

The clothes needed

Sizes for each kid and the parents:

Two teenage girls
Size 9 women’s shoes
Size small or medium adult shirts/ size 7 and 8 in pants
Size medium hoodies
School colors for Warren Central

Teenage boy
Size 8 men’s shoes
Size 14/16 in shirts and size 16 boy pants
School colors for Warren Central

A little girl
Size kids 13 in shoes
Size 8 pants and 7/8 shirts
School colors for Warren Central

Little boy
Size 5t pants size 5t/6 t-shirt
Size 12 in toddler shoes

The Mother
16 in pants
2x in shirts
10 in shoes

The Dad
Medium in men’s shirts
He’s about 32 in the waist
Size 10&1/2 or 11 in shoes

The clothes can be dropped at 2905 Laurel Street in Vicksburg.
