A father and son have been arrested in Yazoo County for shooting at teenagers Sunday on all terrain vehicles.

The pair has admitted to the shooting, according to the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, reports WAPT, when witnesses called about seeing two men in a white Chevrolet pickup chasing and shooting at two teenagers on ATVs.

Wade Twiner and his son Lane Twiner were in the truck. They told authorities that the teens were driving erratically and they were attempting to apprehend them. The teens said they were speeding trying to get away from the shooters.

Deputies charged the Twiners with aggravated assault in connection with the incident. Additional charges are possible.
