FBI warns of potential COVID-19 vaccine scams

The FBI is warning that scammers may be lurking to bilk consumers with fake COVID-19 vaccine schemes.
Among the things to watch for:
- You’re asked to pay out-of-pocket for a vaccine (the shots are free)
- You’re asked to pay for early access or to put your name on a waiting list.
- Advertisements for vaccines through social media platforms, email, telephone calls, online or from unsolicited or unknown sources
- “Marketers” offering to sell or ship doses of the vaccine for payment
#NEW: As distribution of #COVID19 vaccines begins, watch for signs of potential scams. Scammers may ask you to pay out of pocket for the #vaccine or for early access to it. They may also ask you to pay to put your name on a vaccine waiting list. https://t.co/MJmfZgTO50 pic.twitter.com/sTfcJPXKCU
