Fire at Ameristar RV Park office early Wednesday morning

Vicksburg firefighters extinguished a fire in the Ameristar RV Park office early Wednesday morning.

Fire Chief Craig Danczck said that his department received an automated call indicating a sprinkler head had activated in the building in the 4100 block of Washington Street just after 4 a.m. Upon arrival crews located and extinguished a fire inside the building.

Responding were engines 6 and 7, and platform 1.

Danczyk said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
