Fire damages home at Eagle Lake

A Manufactured home at Eagle Lake was damaged by fire around 9 a.m.

E 911 dispatched Warren County Fire Units of Eagle Lake and Culkin to a structure fire in the 300 block of Melanie Lane. Jeff Riggs, the spokesman for the Warren County Fire Service, reported that units and members of Eagle Lake, Culkin and Northeast responded.

Warren County Fire Coordinator Jerry Briggs stated that, upon arrival, he observed heavy smoke exiting the eaves of the home. Briggs and Chief Chuck Tate made entry to the home and contained and extinguished a fire in one bedroom.

Chief Zack Hearn was the incident commander and directed fire operations.

The cause was determined to have been a candle in the bedroom. Warren County EMA notified the Red Cross for the family. No injuries were reported.
