Fire damages unoccupied home on Dillion Ridge Road

A residence on Dillion Ridge Road in Warren County suffered considerable damage due to a fire earlier on Friday. Emergency services were dispatched to the 700 block of Dillion Ridge Road around 8:40 a.m.
Jeff Riggs, a spokesperson for the Fire Service, stated that a passerby reported seeing smoke coming from the house, which prompted the 911 call. Northeast Chief Zack Hearn was the first to arrive on the scene and promptly notified the responding units of an active structure fire.
Hearn surmised that the fire could be contained to a single room. Fire Boss Jerry Briggs, along with personnel from the Northeast, Culkin and Fisher Ferry units, quickly contained and extinguished the blaze.
The house, which appeared to be unoccupied at the time due to a lack of power, suffered fire damage in a limited area and smoke damage throughout. The Warren County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating the cause of the fire. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in the incident.
