Fire destroys minivan on Terrace Street

A vehicle fire on Terrace Street in the Marion Park subdivision in Vicksburg gutted a minivan.

The call came in just after 12:30 p.m. Wednesday indicating a vehicle was on fire in a driveway and flames were threatening the adjacent structure.

Vicksburg Fire Engine 8 responded to extinguish the blaze before it spread. No one was injured.

The owner of the vehicle said he did not know how the fire started, and was alerted to it by a neighbor.
