A home that had become one of the iconic images of the Great Backwater Flood of 2019 was completely destroyed by fire this morning.

The home, located on U.S. Hwy. 61 North about a mile north of MS Hwy. 465, had been vacant since the flood waters made it inaccessible earlier this year.
