WATCH: Fire consumes barn on Highway 3

A fire that broke out in a barn or shed on Highway 3 on Sunday afternoon destroyed property, but did not result in injuries.

The homeowner said that he had plugged in some things in the barn and a short time later noticed smoke coming from the structure.

The flames spread quickly and the homeowner was unable to slow the blaze, “It got big quick,” he said.

The structure itself, its contents and two trailers were damaged in the fire. No animals or people were injured.

Northeast Fire Department was dispatched to the scene just before 6 p.m. and have been working to extinguish the flames.
