Fire on Nicole

A yard tractor caught fire in a shed on Nicole Drive off of U.S. Highway 80. The homeowner was jump starting the tractor with his truck when it caused an electric arc. That arc caught grass clippings on fire, and the fire grew too quickly to extinguish.

The tractor was completely lost, and the fire caused damage to the pickup truck parked near it.

Firefighters with The Culkin Volunteer Fire Department arrived quickly and were able to save the structure.  There are no reported injuries. Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace was also on scene assisting the elderly residents.
