Firefighters assist in removing smoke from Cherry Street home

Around 8 a.m. Wednesday Morning, first responders were called to an apartment complex on East Avenue, just off Cherry Street for a structure fire.

After arriving on the scene, emergency response crews determined a stove was the cause of smoke buildup inside the home and the unit had not taken on flames.

Firefighters removed the stove from the apartment and assisted with clearing the smoke out of the apartment.

No one was injured in the incident.
