On Saturday, September 11 at 9 a.m., firefighters with Vicksburg and Warren County will march down Washington Street to honor their brothers who fell on 9-11.
This 9-11 will mark 20 years since the attack on the twin towers which forever changed the way we live.
Firefighters, Dalmatians and firetrucks will all be on display in the parade that honors the 343 firefighters and 60 law enforcement officers that lost their lives that day.
The 9 a.m. parade will begin near Belmont Street and continue through to Jackson. Vicksburg Fire Chief Craig Danczyk noted, “It’s a way to remember our brothers who fell and a reminder that our firefighters are ever vigilant.”
Warren County Fire Boss, Jerry Briggs said, “Bring the kids and the grandkids to support your local firefighters.”
