Inaugural River City Toy Fest kicks off July 17

Local toy enthusiasts Chris Burks and Donnie Smith have joined forces with MSToyCon to bring you River City Toy Fest, sponsored by Levee Street Marketplace, on Saturday, July 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center.
The River City Toy Fest promises to be a great day of family-friendly fun with tons of toys, comics and collectibles to buy, sell and trade. There will be costume contests and cosplay events for all ages, door prizes throughout the day, and more. This will the the inaugural event to kick off an annual ‘con’ right here in Vicksburg that will grow bigger and better every year.
“We’ve got a lot of folks here that love, basically, nerd stuff,” Local radio personality Chris Burks said. “I feel like this will really help connect people.”
Admission is $2 for adults and kids are free, although early-birds who arrive for first picking will be asked to pay $5. Either way, that is a small fee for some big fun, so mark your calendar and follow the River City Toy Fest Facebook page for updates.
