First responders dispatched to Vicksburg church, reports claim smoke odor

Multiple emergency units were dispatched to First Baptist Church at 3:20 p.m. after reports of the smell of smoke were received.

Units with the Vicksburg Police Department, EMS and Vicksburg Fire Department, including Engines 6 and 7, Fire Medic 40, Batallion 1, and George 1, Claude Billings, quickly arrived on the scene.

First responders investigated the area but have not found any signs of smoke or fire.
