The Vicksburg Daily News has confirmed Warren County’s first COVID-19 coronavirus case.

The victim has been a patient at Promise Hospital, located on the sixth floor of Merit Health River Region in Vicksburg for about 60 days, and is a Mississippi Department of Corrections inmate.

The inmate was tested nine days ago after exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, and the test came back positive yesterday.
